Video Interview: Designer Loris Diran
Welcome to the world of Loris Diran. The fabric seam architect laid his foundation in the fashion world at several illustrious design houses such as Chanel, Claude Montana and Versace by employing the tools he harnessed at NYU’s school of Fine Arts. With an Einstein level fashion I.Q and an incredible eye for detail, Diran has built himself quite a legacy, and a warm, lower Manhattan, SOHO boutique while at it. Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyonce, Ricky Martin, the cast of The Devil Wears Prada and The Real Housewives of NJ have all worn his styling’s, and both his men’s and women’s lines are consistently in high-demand.
Loris Diran’s demi-couture boutique sits off the corner of East 1st Street and Browery. Its crystal clear windows show off a semi-transparent violet cardigan over thigh length, tan linen shorts, as well as many other well-coordinated summertime outfits. Each item on display possesses a simplistic uniqueness in their fabric, trim or accessories. Some outfits have sporadically placed buttons as others sport an unconventional cut and all together promote a semi-casual, blue collar lifestyle.Play Videos
