August 21st, 2014- Roc Nation Sports' clients CC Sabathia and Robinson Cano hosted the agencies' first annual charity Celebrity Basketball game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NYC this past Thursday. The star studded affair saw icons such as Derek Jeter, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and many others come out in support, raising over 1 million dollars in donations towards both of their foundations.

Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant served as special assistant coaches for both Cano and Sabathia and Power 105.1’s legendary radio host Angie Martinez was the MC of the night alongside former Duke basketball star Jay Williams, both pictured below.

Former NFL star and New York Giants icon Tiki Barber was one of the participants in the celebrity basketball game, but his stylish socks were the best looking part of his game. Below see Tiki Barber walking the red carpet with his wife Traci Lynn Johnson.

Jersey Shore fans would be glad to see that life for Vinny Guadino and Sammi Sweetheart still has them sharing the spotlight. Both of the former stars of the MTV breakout show walked the red carpet and Vinny played in the game for CC Sabathia’s team.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith walked the red carpet, and spent most of the evening doing interviews in promotion of his new Serius Satellite radio show.

Brooklyn Native Fabolous had a rough day on the hardwood, but his Brooklyn native crowd welcomed him with loud cheers during the starting line-up announcement. After the game Fab grabbed the mic from Angie Martinez inquiring about the whereabouts of his MVP trophy.

Soon to be retired Yankee great Derek Jeter came out in support of CC and Robinson, both teammates on his most recent championship club. Jeter took a second to weigh in on his teammates outfits after walking the red carpet himself.

Kevin Durant briefly posed alongside Robinson Cano in his most casual red carpet outfit yet before heading to the court for the festivities.

Power 105.1's DJ Clue got a hard time from his co-worker Angie Martinez all night who called him out after each missed shot and turnover, but had a solid game altogether.

Rob Riley of VH1’s Hit The Floor sought out to prove to the audience he doesn’t just play a basketball superstar on TV, but he has game in real life. After going back and forth with Chris Brown all night, Riley came out victorious with the game winning stop against the R&B star and emphatically celebrated at midcourt as the buzzer sounded.

Chris Brown was one of the stars of the evening, dazzling the crowd with his handle, and was one of the leading scorers on the night. Brown with his newly dyed blonde Caesar also assisted in the halftime dunk contest as one of the dunkers used him as a prop. Brown went for the game winning 3 pointer as his ex Rihanna watched on ten feet away but unfortunately air balled leading to team Sabathia’s defeat.

Angela Simmons kept it casual with a linen blouse and blue denim jeans, but looked stunning as always.

Terrell Owens was the star of the night and won the MVP trophy as he was unstoppable on the court. From the moment he appeared on the red carpet, it was clear he hasn’t let himself slip one bit out of shape.

Ne-yo also participated in the game for team Sabathia but didn’t log much minutes. On the red carpet when asked where he’s been by a shouting photographer, Ne-Yo quipped back, “around the world and back.” Ne-Yo’s publicist then informed the crowd to expect a new album in the coming months.

Adrienne Bailon has been making headlines lately for her public spat with Kim Kardashian over comment she made about her ex Rob Kardashian negatively affecting her career. Nonetheless, Adrienne looked flawless on the red carpet showing the negativity has had no effect on her beauty sleep.

Skylar Diggins tussled with a leather jacket on the red carpet before extracting it from her outfit allowing her crop top and ripped jeans to be on full display. “I didn’t do my sit ups today,” she joked, explaining her hesistance to part with the jacket. Diggins later judged the slam dunk contest at halftime and sat just a couple seats over from Rihanna making for a dreamy courtside section.

Roc Nation’s Melanie Fiona came out to the charity basketball event and hinted at some new music releases coming soon. Fiona kept it cute and comfy with a wool one piece and a black Indiana jones hat.

DJ Khaled was an epic source of entertainment this evening. At points throughout the night Khaled would get “we want Khaled” chants encouraging Robinson Cano to substitute him back in the game until he managed to score a point. Khaled came close on numerous occasions, but his jump shot was much more fluid in warm ups then actual game time unfortunately.

All in all, it was an epic innagural game for Roc Nation Sports alongside CC Sabathia and Robinson Cano. Team Cano escaped with a one point victory, and the game couldn't have gotten anymore entertaining. One of the additional highlights of the night was a halftime auction which saw them auction off once in a life time experiences such as a trip to Paris to see Jay Z and Beyonce's On The Run show as well as batting and pitching lessons form both CC and Robinson Cano. Can't wait to see what they have in stores for next season!
